why can’t they take a hint?

so i live in Bangkok with family, when we were in Cambodia i met a younger man in his 30′s and his wife that is also in the 30′s, we got to know them because we had the same guest house area, so later on when we come back to our house in Bangkok at least 3 months later we receive call from them that they are heading to Bangkok for a bit then leaving for somewhere else, so what do we do? we invite them with open arms, when they arrived it was fine, i have to sleep on the couch because there is only a room per person (4), but yeah, i was fine with sleeping on a couch for 2 weeks while they wait to find a house somewhere in Taiwan, north Korea, or anywhere else, but this is the thing that really pisses me off, they have been here for 4 months now, they aren’t mean people but they don’t mention anything about leaving, they are dirty (they never do their own dishes and constantly leave bags around/dirty pieces of wrapping paper for meats) they never once cleaned up after themselves, i seen there room, it is disgusting, there is moldy food, at least 20 empty beer bottles, the half the bathroom has black mold on it due to it never being cleaned!, they are so dirty all the time. but the worst part is, the wife will always complain about small things WE don’t do! god damn audacity right there, things like "you should take the dog out" or "yeah, i don’t think you should do that" etc, I’ve had it with them, I’m sick and tired of cleaning up after them/letting them destroy the room they are living in, oh yeah! they are also hardcore atheists and they absolutely hate anything to do with god, I’m not very religious, but the things they say like "It’s completely stupid for anyone to believe in a invisible man that grants wishes!, what dumb fucks!" what should i do? the husband is nice, bit of a gaming nerd but nice, the wife is annoying me, shes still kinda sorta nice though, i tried giving them hints like "so are you guys planing anywhere to go?" the response was "no" what should i do that isn’t so harsh but will give the point to these impetuous people!
@ tiffany, this is one of the reasons it’s kind of hard to just go crazy on them (i might end up just cussing life crazy in their faces and go crazy on them) but still, I’m pretty passive when it comes to things like this, but they don’t own a house, and they don’t make much money, they remind me of teenagers that need to grow up. so i can’t just throw them on the streets, its confusing

Woah that is long… But dont worry I actually read it!:D If that was me I wouldve been like a bomb and went boom in their face if they keep on being that b*tchy. I would just say things like "Can you help me clean/wash the dishes I need to do something". Or just be straightfoward and say "Look. I know WE invited you here but it doesnt mean this is YOUR house. So at least clean up after yourselves and stop complaining about what I do cause its not like you can do it any better". And just tell them that they should start looking for a house and make up an excuse like its better to live in their own home or stuff like that.

It was a scorching hot Sunday in Douliou, Taiwan. The dirty and messy road was filled with stray dogs roaming for food. I was wearing big glasses and a shirt that was passed down from my big brother. I lived in a one floored normal sized house with one kitchen, a small bathroom, living room, three bedrooms, and a front and back yard. My lazy and kind dad is a high school teacher and my caring mom is a housewife. I enjoy reading comic, books, and going biking. There are a total of five handsome macho guys and a woman in my family. My mom always wanted a daughter that has skin as pale as porcelain, skin as soft as the paw of a cat, and sparkly black eyes framed by long black eyelashes, but the sad thing is, she kept on having male babies. I’m an eighth grader this year and school has just begun.

On Sunday morning I was playing with green beetles under the bright yellow sun with my two naughty little brothers. My big brother is away in the library. I’ll have to admit that everyone in my family except my mom are considered as nerds. Although we are not rich kids, we are all one of the top ten students in class.

Sunday flew by as quickly as the wind, and Monday is fast to catch up. Tiresome Mondays to noon on Saturdays are always school days. We don’t have Saturday and Sunday as weekends, we only have Sunday. We have tests every single day in school. I hate how we have so many tests! It’s always the routine of learn the things today and test the things tomorrow. It’s like a never-ending river of tests and quizzes. The worst part of school is that the ugly and evil teacher smacks you hard on your back with a whip for each point you miss on the test.

After school my brothers and I were required to go to our teacher’s “haunted” house till 9:00 for boring after school classes. This is the place where we study for our tests.

I was always one of the top five students in eighth grade and there are about 10 classes with 50 students in each class. By that, you can see that I’m quite smart. Teachers group classes by academic performances, so people with the same abilities are in the same class. I’m always in the “nerd” class.

Every year I have the exact same goal, which is to become the ranked one student in class. The closest I have ever gotten to, was to be ranked second. The top student is always this short rich kid named Henry Dong; sometimes I am really temped to punch him hard in the stomach.

I am determined to have the best grades in class this year. I worked extremely hard with all my homework and I studied till midnight every single night. Instead of going out to play on Sundays like other kids, I always stayed in my room with a pencil on my ear and books stacked up on my desk. I try to make friends with smart kids in my class so I can learn things through conversations with them. I even asked the “evil” teacher to give me extra homework for practice.

Today is the day of the final exam. My palms are sweating when I took the paper from my teacher’s hands. I have confidence that I will get full score on this test. After two hours of taking the important and hard test, I handed it to the teacher.

The next day I rushed to school eager to find out how well I did on the test. Many people were crowding in front of the bulletin board, where the teacher shows the score of our exam. Everyone cheered when I walked toward the bulletin board. I had the best score in my class! I was overflowed with joy, and unable to talk. People are congratulating me and slapping me on the back. Even the teacher came and congratulated me. From this, I learned that practice makes perfect. I practiced very hard every night so I got the honor to be the top student of our class.

your writing is pretty good but i think you need to widen your vocabulary and maybe try a variety of length of sentences because most of your are pretty short.

Dad left me for a new family?

I’m tired of my dad letting me down. I’m 16. I don’t live with my dad. I lived with him for the summer and like they have no standards. I was the cleanest out of all of them they didn’t take care of themselves and didn’t keep their rooms clean. that included my dad it was ridiculous how dirty they were. I’m lazy but I have standards. The only reason I go see him now is because of my dog and I’m trying to save money to get him neutered.I live with my mom. My dad left me when I was younger for about a year iI know it was a long time. He said "he was getting his life together" Finally after all that time i see him again. He takes me to meet his new family. He has a new wife and a stepson(18) and stepdaugther(16). They bully me and i’ve told him about it and he just laughs. To me he shows more care for them than he does for me. His house is super dirty they have a dog that pisses on everything and there never clean it up. I don’t like spending nights there because of how dirty it is. I alays have to sleep on the couch because i have no room there or even at least a guest room. They are more active i would say than me because there in rotc/sports and have really high rank and i was in rotc and quit because i didn’t want to do it and then my dad wouldn’t talk to me for over a month. Now my dad is saying he;s gonna help me get a driver license and teach me to drive. It’s been nearly 8 months since he said that. So now my mom signed me up for driver’s ed and I asked my dad too help and he said he wpould give me $100-$200 to help out but then when it came time he didn’t. He said "Don’t play me" I didn’t play him because he said he was gonna help. he only took me driving twice but has taken my stepsister dozens of times. Christmas came by and he didn’t get me anything but they got ipods and everything. my birthday passed and he didn’t do anything for it. There birthday came and he went all out. Another christmas and birthday of mine go by and he does the same thing. I know I’m tired of this and when i try to talk to him about it he takes it like its a joke. he calls me names like nerd and stuff. I’ve tried multiple times. I’m to the point where I’m thinking of cutting him out of my life if he’s going to be that way. Everytime I need him he abandons me. What should i do and how would you feel if you were in this situation?

if i were u i would feel terrible, really terrible. i think that u need to send him a letter or something, really seriously, in it put how u dont like him mistreating u, make it really formal, and im sorry but personally i would cut him out of my life if i was you, he obviously isnt worth you or your time. if he gets really mean or harsh or violent to you threaten to take him to court. you have to rise above this, and focus on the really good things in life, and drop the parts that are weighing you down so you have space to spread your wings.
